Hoofdstuk1
Britain's Favourite Walks: Top 100

Zie: Britain's Favourite Walks: Top 100.

A two-and-a-half hour TV special revealed the nation's favourite walks.
The presenters of the show, Julia Bradbury and Ore Oduba, count down the
results of a huge hiking survey.
More than 8,000 walking enthusiasts were polled for the show, to select a
top 100.
Routes range from coastal walks to mountain walks and urban walks
in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.

9. .Ruined castle Dunstanburgh:...... 5 km ........easy

This walk is a real Northumbrian highlight...the short but spectacular coastal
stroll which sets foot from the fishing village of Craster, before visiting the
mighty ruined castle Dunstanburgh
It is an archetypal mediaeval castle dominating a headland.
It was once one of the largest castles in the north-east of England.
Much of the castle lies in ruins, derelict and neglected since its decline
in the fifteenth century.
